Hippogriff AFV Magnetization Recommendations

The Hippogriff AFV is one of the few Astra Militarum tanks that refuses to settle on a loadout. Its turret takes any of four main guns, from the Vigilator Cannon to the Chiron Gatling Cannon, plus a coaxial Heavy Stubber or Meltagun, so magnetizing it lets you field every profile from one model instead of buying a tank for each build.

Hippogriff AFV N52 Magnetization Kit

This kit magnetizes the two swap points that matter: the turret main gun and the coaxial weapon beside it. N52 neodymium magnets hold each barrel firmly through handling and transport, then release clean when you want a different profile on the table. A reusable 3D-printed drill guide sets the hole depth for each barrel, and Magnicators keep the polarity consistent, so a swapped barrel always seats the same way. The full drill-and-glue walkthrough lives in the Hippogriff AFV magnetization guide.

Base Magnets for the Hippogriff AFV

The Hippogriff AFV sits on a 105 by 70 mm oval base. Magnetizing the base holds the finished tank to a movement tray, a steel shelf, or a transport case, and still lets you lift it free without knocking the turret loose.

Flush-fit disc magnets seat into the base and sit level. For a heavy vehicle like this one, use the larger, thicker disc:

Peel and stick magnets are adhesive-backed and press straight onto the underside, which also suits textured or non-standard bases. A 105 by 70 mm oval takes three of the 25 mm rounds:
