Hippogriff AFV Magnetization Guide
The Hippogriff armored vehicle has several weapon options in its turret. The main gun can be a Vigilator Cannon, Chiron Gatling Cannon, Melta Cannon, or a Heavy Lascannon. The turret also carries a coaxial weapon, either a Heavy Stubber or a Meltagun. This kit covers magnetizing all of them so any combination is achievable.

Tools you will need
- Magnicators to keep every magnet's polarity consistent so the parts always attract
- A pin vise with a 2mm drill bit
- Thick or gel super glue
- Clippers or a sharp blade to remove the wedge from the back of each barrel
- Milliput epoxy putty, optional, to reinforce the mount magnets

Coaxial Barrel
There are two coaxial weapons available to the Hippogriff. To magnetize them, first remove the wedge from the back of the barrel as flush as possible. We recommend clippers or a sharp blade.

The kit includes a 3D-printed drill guide with a matching hole for each barrel and a gauge for setting the depth on a 2mm bit.
Mark your 2mm drill bit to the depth shown on the guide's gauge, using tape or a drill stop. Insert the barrel into its hole in the drill guide, push it down as far as it will go, and drill to the marked depth.

Glue one 2mm x 2mm disc magnet into the drilled hole in the center of the back of each barrel. Set the magnet on the end of a Magnicator first so every barrel keeps the same polarity, blue face out, and the barrels always attract the mount. These magnets are small, so use the smallest amount of glue that will hold.
Once the glue is set, check the magnet and add a small drop to reinforce it if needed.
Main Barrel
There are four main weapons available to the Hippogriff. Remove the wedge from the back of each barrel as flush as possible, the same way as the coaxial barrels.

Insert the barrel into its matching hole in the drill guide and drill to the marked depth with the 2mm bit. The Vigilator Cannon has its own hole; the Chiron Gatling Cannon, Melta Cannon, and Heavy Lascannon share one, and each seats to the same depth.

Glue one 2mm x 4mm disc magnet into the drilled hole, keeping the same polarity as the coaxial magnets so every weapon seats the same way.
Weapon Mount
The barrels are held in place by plastic parts C35 (inner mount pivot) and EC39 (outer mount shield). Push them together to make the magnets easier to install.
Take one 3mm x 3mm x 3mm block magnet and set it on a Magnicator, or use another method, to be sure it matches the polarity of the barrel magnets.
Insert a coaxial barrel into its spot in C35 and EC39. Using the barrel magnet's pull to position it, glue the block magnet into part EC39. Do the coaxial side first, because its magnet is weaker than the main barrel's.

Remove the coaxial barrel and let the first block magnet set fully.
Insert a main barrel into its spot in C35 and EC39, glue the second block magnet into EC39 the same way, then reinforce both block magnets with glue or putty.

Final Assembly
After the magnets are installed, finish assembling the model as usual. All six weapon options now swap freely at any time.
