What’s in the Grey Knights Combat Patrol

The Grey Knights Combat Patrol is the 10th-edition Warhammer 40,000 starter army for the Emperor’s daemon hunters. Twelve miniatures including a Dreadknight centerpiece — the lowest model count of any current Combat Patrol but the most per-model magnetization potential.

Nemesis Dreadknight

The Nemesis Dreadknight kit is one of the most magnetization-heavy in the 40k range — see our dedicated Nemesis Dreadknight Magnetization Guide for the full walk-through. The kit builds as a standard Nemesis Dreadknight or a Grand Master in Nemesis Dreadknight, with multiple arm-weapon options (heavy psycannon, gatling psilencer, heavy incinerator) and close-combat (Dreadfist, doomfist, Nemesis greatsword). Magnetize the shoulder mounts with 6mm x 2mm disc magnets for the heavy weapons and 3mm x 2mm at the wrist for melee options.

Brotherhood Terminators / Paladins

The Terminator kit is a dual-build — Brotherhood Terminators or Paladins (higher-tier elite). Both share the same chassis and the same wrist sockets. Weapon options include Nemesis force sword, force halberd, daemon hammer, falchions, and warding stave, plus the heavy weapon (incinerator, psilencer, psycannon). Magnetize wrists with 3mm x 2mm disc magnets so the squad can swap between every legal melee profile.

3mm magnets fit a 3mm drill bit hole. The Large Pin Vise covers 0.5mm to 8mm bits.

Strike Squad / Interceptors / Purifiers / Purgation Squad

The Strike Squad kit is a quad-build — assemble as Strike Squad, Interceptors (with jump packs), Purifiers, or Purgation Squad (4 heavy weapons). Magnetize wrists with 3mm x 2mm disc magnets and the same five Marines can run as four different units. This is one of the highest-value magnetization decisions in the 40k starter range.

Interceptor Flight Stands

If you build the Strike Squad as Interceptors with jump packs, replace GW plastic flight stems with posable magnetic flight stands. They use the Medium Small posable size.
