Defiler No-Drill Magnetization Kit

Magnetize the Defiler without drilling a single hole. The kit includes custom replacement parts with the magnet wells already set into them. Swap them in while you're assembling the model, drop the magnets in, glue. No pin vise, no measuring, no chewing through plastic and hoping you didn't go too deep.

When the model's done, the magnets are hidden. The custom components seat flush against the GW parts, so the joins look the same as a pinned build with none of the seam gap or surface-mount stack you get from drilling the kit as-is.

What swaps

• Main gun: Hades battle cannon or ectoplasma destructor
• Carapace guns: a pair of excruciator cannons or a pair of magma cutters
• Arm hardpoints: heavy baleflamer, heavy missile launcher, Hades lascannon, heavy reaper autocannon, or the electroscourge on either arm

One model, every loadout in the box. The shearing claws are fixed, so there is no melee swap.

• Custom components with pre-set magnet receptacles for each swap point
• N52 neodymium magnets sized to those receptacles, discs and rings

You'll also need

Super glue, clippers, hobby knife. Magnicators help if you want a guarantee on polarity. The kit's forgiving without them, but a flipped magnet means re-gluing.

Bases

The Defiler sits on a 160mm round. For metal-lined carry cases, glue 2 of our 6mm x 2mm N52 discs inside the base. With self-adhesive magnet sheeting as a case liner, use 5 or 6 instead. To skip loose magnets entirely, use 4 of our 25mm Peel & Stick Inner Base Magnets. Or grab a pre-built 160mm Base with Magnets and skip the basing step.
