Magnetic Hex Plug Caps for Swoop Peg Flight Stands

Magnetic hex plug caps replace the fixed joint between your miniature and its swoop peg flight stand with a magnetic one, so the model lifts off for storage and transport. One cap half glues to the stand, the other to the model, and the two hold together on a pair of N52 NiCuNi 3mm x 2mm neodymium magnets. The magnets ship loose, so you set the polarity as you glue them in.

Cap Installation

• Scuff the gluing surface of all magnets.
• Insert and glue a 3mm x 2mm disk magnet deep into the hole in the hex cap bottom. As shown in the illustration, it is easier if you use a second magnet along with a Magnicator to get that magnet all of the way down.
• Insert and glue a 3mm x 2mm disk magnet into the top part of the hex cap, ensure that the polarity is compatible with the bottom hex cap, as shown in the illustration.
• Glue the hex cap bottom to the clear plastic swoop flight stand that came with your model kit.
• Glue the hex cap top to your plastic model at the spot where the swoop stand was originally supposed to go.
• You can now remove the model from the flight stand for more convenient storage or transport.

What's Included

Each set comprises 1 male hex cap top, 1 female hex cap bottom, and 2 loose N52 NiCuNi 3mm x 2mm neodymium magnets, one for each cap half.
