Triple nickel-plated N52 neodymium spheres — the strongest grade we stock, in an 8mm (5/16") size that's a sweet spot for magnetic jewelry, tabletop terrain registration, and hidden hardware in woodwork.

Common uses for the 8mm N52 sphere

• Magnetic jewelry clasps. Three 8mm spheres equal roughly one inch, so they sit naturally end-to-end on a necklace, bracelet, or anklet. Strung on cord or wire, they self-clasp pole-to-pole — no separate clasp hardware needed.
• Tabletop terrain and modular bases. Drop a sphere into a domed 8mm pocket on a movement tray, scenery piece, or display plinth — the sphere rolls until it seats against a steel washer or matching magnet underneath. Used in modular wargame terrain and display-base systems.
• Hidden hardware and discreet closures. Press into an 8mm hole and cover with veneer, leather, or a cap. Common in jewelry boxes, secret compartments, custom furniture, and theatrical or film prop work where a flat disc would print through the surface.
• STEM and physics demonstrations. The sphere geometry is the cleanest way to show magnetic field lines, attraction and repulsion, and chains under tension. Sized for classroom and home-school physics kits.
• Pin holders, sewing trays, and shop magnets. Drop one in a tray to corral straight pins, paperclips, screws, or metal shavings on a workbench.
