Maxi-Cure Plus Super Glue For Magnets
Couldn't load pickup availability
The only super glue built for magnet work.
Most super glue fails at magnets. It's either too thin (it wicks away before the magnet seats), too brittle (shatters when you drop a model), or cures cloudy and white on dark plastic. Maxi-Cure Plus is a thick, gap-filling CA glue that grips magnets to plastic, metal, and resin and stays gripped; even on the desk, at a tournament, and two years later when you go to swap a loadout.
Why hobbyists use Maxi-Cure specifically for magnets
The thick viscosity is the key. Thin CA (like standard super glue or Insta-Cure) is ideal for tight-fitting parts, but most magnet cavities have a tiny gap between the magnet and the wall, which thin glue wicks right through before it can bond. Maxi-Cure's gel-like consistency fills that gap, grabs the magnet face, and cures in place. The result is a bond strong enough that the magnet breaks before it separates from the model.
It bonds reliably across all the materials you'll encounter in the hobby:
- Plastic - GW sprues, injection-moulded kits, Contrast primer-compatible
- Metal - Finecast resin, older metal models, third-party resin from Forge World, Titan Forge, etc.
- Resin - PLA+ and resin 3D prints (light sanding recommended before application)
Pair it with Insta-Set for instant cure
On its own, Maxi-Cure cures in 30–60 seconds. Hit it with a spray of our Insta-Set Quick Set Accelerator and it locks in under 5 seconds letting you work quickly through a whole squad without clamping or waiting. This combination is the standard workflow for serious magnetizers.
Tips for best results
Apply a small amount to the magnet cavity before seating the magnet; you want just enough to fill the gap without overflow. If you get squeeze-out, wipe it immediately with a dry cloth before it cures. Use the cap between applications (included) to prevent the nozzle from clogging. Store upright in a cool, dry location.
