What’s in the Death Guard Combat Patrol

The Death Guard Combat Patrol is the 10th-edition Warhammer 40,000 starter army for Mortarion’s plague legions. Thirty-nine miniatures and a pre-built Combat Patrol roster — one of the highest model counts of any current Combat Patrol.

Typhus

Typhus is a single-pose centerpiece with a fixed manreaper scythe. No weapon swaps. Base magnetization only.

Biologus Putrifier

The Biologus Putrifier is a fixed-pose character with the plague pistol, injector pistol, and bubotic axe all sculpted in place. No weapon swaps.

Plague Marines

The Plague Marine kit is one of the most option-heavy in the Death Guard range. Seven Plague Marines in the Combat Patrol form a squad, with options for the Champion (plague sword, power fist, plasma pistol), heavy weapons (plague spewer, blight launcher, plague belcher), and special melee (bubotic axe, flail of corruption, mace of contagion). Magnetize wrists with 3mm x 2mm disc magnets for the Champion and special-weapon Marines so the squad can run any legal loadout.

3mm magnets fit a 3mm drill bit hole. The Large Pin Vise covers 0.5mm to 8mm bits.

Pox Walkers

Pox Walkers are single-pose with fixed crude weapons. No useful weapon-swap magnetization — base magnetization only. With 30 Pox Walkers in the box, magnetized bases are the biggest organization win.

Typhus and the Biologus Putrifier attach to the Plague Marine or Pox Walker squad in most Combat Patrol lists. Character & Wargear Tab Trays slide on and off the parent tray.

Drill Bits, Glues & Polarity Tools

The Plague Marine special-weapon wrists are the magnetization centerpiece. With 30 Pox Walker bases on top of the magnetized Marines, this is a multi-evening job.

Drill bits. Medium metric bundle covers 4mm through 6mm magnets — useful as the army grows into the Plagueburst Crawler, Bloat-drone, and Myphitic Blight-haulers.

Glue. Maxi-Cure thick CA glue plus Insta-Set spray.

Polarity tool. Magnicator V2 keeps every Plague Marine wrist socket aligned.
