What’s in the Space Marines Combat Patrol
The Space Marines Combat Patrol is the standard 10th-edition Warhammer 40,000 starter box for the Adeptus Astartes. Twelve push-fit miniatures, a pre-built Combat Patrol roster, and you have a playable army out of the box.
- 1x Captain in Terminator Armour — 40mm round base
- 1x Librarian in Terminator Armour — 40mm round base
- 5x Terminators — 40mm round bases
- 5x Infernus Marines — 32mm round bases
Captain in Terminator Armour
The Captain has a storm bolter and combi-weapon on the right arm, and a choice of power weapon on the left. Magnetize both arm joints with 3mm x 2mm N52 disc magnets so you can swap between loadouts before the game.

3mm magnets need a 3mm drill bit and a hand vise that fits it. The Large Pin Vise accepts 0.5mm through 8mm bits, so it carries you from Marine wrists up to Knight torso joints later.
Librarian in Terminator Armour
The Librarian is a fixed pose with a force staff — no weapon swaps to magnetize. Only the base needs a magnet (see the base section below) so the model locks into a transport tray with the rest of the Terminator-armoured characters.
Terminator Squad
The Terminator squad opens up the most weapon options in the box. The sergeant chooses between a power fist, power sword, or chainfist, and the squad can mount an assault cannon or cyclone missile launcher in the heavy slot. 3mm x 2mm disc magnets fit the wrist joints and combi-weapon mounts. For the heavy-weapon shoulder pintle — the cyclone missile launcher and assault cannon — 5mm x 2mm disc magnets give the larger surface area and stronger hold the heavier weapons need.

Infernus Marines
Infernus Marines come with a fixed pyreblaster loadout. No weapon options to magnetize. Base magnets only (see below) so the squad lifts cleanly into a magnetic carry case.
Base Magnets
Infernus Marines sit on 32mm bases. The Captain, Librarian, and Terminators sit on 40mm bases. Pick whichever format matches how you build the army.

Character & Wargear Tab Trays
The Captain and Librarian attach to the Terminator squad in most Combat Patrol lists. The Character & Wargear Tab Tray slots into the parent movement tray and slides off when the character moves to a different unit, so you can re-attach either character without disturbing the squad.

Drill Bits, Glues & Polarity Tools
Magnetizing the Captain and Terminator weapon swaps needs a drill bit matched to the magnet diameter, a superglue that holds magnets in plastic, and a polarity tool to keep every socket facing the same direction.
Drill bits. The medium metric bundle covers 4mm through 6mm magnets — useful as the army grows into vehicles and Dreadnoughts.
Glue. Maxi-Cure is the thick CA superglue we use to seat magnets in plastic. Insta-Set sprays over the top to flash-cure the bond so the magnet doesn’t drift while it sets.
Polarity tool. The Magnicator V2 holds a magnet in known polarity, so every wrist socket and weapon stub lines up the same way. Reversed polarity is the most common magnetization mistake; the Magnicator removes it.
