The Deathwatch Corvus Blackstar is a Space Marine flyer with several weapon swaps worth magnetizing — the nose-mounted twin assault cannon or twin lascannons, the wing-mounted Blackstar rocket launchers, and the optional sponson hurricane bolters. Weapon Swaps
The kit gives you three weapon decisions: the chin turret (twin assault cannon vs twin lascannons), the wing-tip Blackstar rocket launchers (which can be left off or swapped for stormstrike missiles in some lists), and the side hurricane bolter sponsons. Magnetizing all three lets you field the loadout your Deathwatch detachment needs without committing to a single build.
For the chin turret swap between the twin assault cannon and twin lascannons, drill into the underside mount and the back of each weapon assembly, then seat a small pair of magnets so the parts click into place and stay aligned in flight.
For the Blackstar rocket launchers, magnetize where each launcher meets the wing tip so you can drop them off the model or swap them for alternate wing-tip parts cleanly.
For the hurricane bolter sponsons, magnetize the sponson root where it meets the fuselage. This lets you remove the bolters when running the flyer without the sponsons or swap to other Deathwatch bits.
