Tyrannofex & Tervigon Magnetization Guide
Massive armor plates, hulking limbs, and some of the biggest bio-weapons in the Hive Mind’s arsenal — the Tyrannofex is a centerpiece model in every sense of the word.
In this guide, we’ll walk through magnetizing the Tyrannofex so you can freely swap its weapon options, future-proof the model against rules changes, and get the most value out of a kit that deserves to be more than a one-loadout monster. Magnetization isn’t just about convenience — it’s about respecting your time, your models, and your wallet. Big kits like this deserve big flexibility.

Magnets Needed: Main Body of the Tyrannofex and Tervigon
2pcs 12mm x 3mm
Let’s begin with the body. I didn’t glue the halves together because I want to put magnets inside the body to minimize the drilling I have to do. First, just behind the main arms, there is a space where we can glue a 12mm x 3mm magnet. Each arm will have one 12mm x 3mm magnet. I scored the surface, scratched my magnet with a file, and glued it into place. Using some Green Stuff, I surrounded the 12mm x 3mm magnet so it wouldn’t come loose and would have extra protection against being shaken around.

The powerful limbs can be glued on as normal.
Magnets Needed: Tervigon Sack
2pcs 4mm x 2mm
This portion is intended to be used with Green Stuff. With each half of the Tervigon sack (pieces 27 and 28), make a lump of Green Stuff on both sides and insert a 4mm x 2mm magnet into them. Ensure your polarity is correct. Align them as best as you can so they meet perfectly every time.

After letting the Green Stuff harden enough, you can test-fit the pieces and adjust as needed.
Magnets Needed: Weapon Options - Massive Crushing Claws / Scything Talons / Acid Spray
6pcs 4mm x 2mm
These weapon options will need a 4mm drill bit drilled into the ball joint of the arm where it meets the body. File down the ball joint that connects to the body and drill a 4mm hole into each one. Then glue a 4mm x 2mm magnet into each hole. I recommend having the polarity of your weapons be red! Using our magnicator, it’ll be easy to remember.

At this point, you can glue the two halves together.
Magnets Needed: Weapon Options - Fleshborer Hive / Rupture Cannon
2pcs 4mm x 2mm
With your Fleshborer hive and Rupture Cannon, drill only into the right arm, holding your weapon options with a 4mm drill bit after sanding down the ball joints. Do not drill into the left arm. After drilling, glue a 4mm x 2mm magnet into the arms using the red side of your magnicator. Dry-fit the weapons to the body, and then, with the left arm, glue them to only the weapon, not to the body.
This is very similar to how we magnetized our Carnifex Brood, if not the same way.

Magnets Needed: Tyrannofex Head
3pcs 6mm x 2mm
A very simple task that takes very little time. With a 6mm drill bit, drill a 6mm x 2mm magnet into the body where the heads will meet the body.

As for the heads, since the heads are hollow, you can toss a 6mm x 2mm into them, OR drill a 6mm hole into the back and glue a 6mm x 2mm magnet into each one.

By taking the time to magnetize this kit, you’ve turned a single build into a flexible bio-engine of destruction, able to shift roles from game to game. Whether the meta changes, points shift, or you just feel like trying something new, your Tyrannofex or Tervigon won’t be left behind.
