Terminator Squad Magnetization Guide
Be Advised this guide is for the standard Terminators (Storm Bolter, Power/Chain Fist, Heavy Flamer, Assault Cannon).
The Crux Terminatus is a badge not awarded lightly. Each is issued, containing a fragment of the Emperor of Mankind's personal armor.
When a Veteran Space Marine has proven themselves in the fires of combat, they are granted this prestigious gift...Terminator Armor.
For this guide we will show you the step by step process of magnetizing your Elite Terminator Squad, using our easy to use Magnetization kit.
For this guide you will need:
- Terminator Squad Magnetization Kit
- Small Hand Drill (0.5mm - 3mm)
- 3 mm Drill Bit
- Magnicator Tool
- Super Glue
- Permanent Marker
-
Step 1:
When building your Assault Terminators, DO NOT glue the front of the upper torso into the Terminator armor housing. This will be the last step after magnets are added — stopping at steps 4B (Sgt), 5A (Cyclone Launcher), 6B (Heavy), 7A, and 8A for each Terminator respectively.

-
Step 2:
Using a small hand drill and 3mm bit, drill through the Terminator armor housing at either shoulder.

-
Step 3:
Remove the drill bit from the Terminator armor and dry fit the chest and head section into the upper torso.

-
Step 4:
Holding the front and back of the Terminator upper torso together, slowly reinsert and drill through the interior of the armor. You may need to drill from both sides to ensure a clean passage.

Pictured below is what the interior of the drilled passage should look like once the upper torso is drilled.

-
Step 5:
After drilling through the armor successfully, dry fit one of the 3x14mm cylinder magnets included with your kit. The magnet should pass through with no issue. Separate the armor and remove any debris from the drilling process.
Using the BLUE side of your Magnicator, insert a 3x14mm cylinder magnet into the left shoulder, bridging the two drilled holes. Carefully apply a small drop of super glue onto the interior of either shoulder to secure the magnet in place.

-
STEP 6: Armed and Dangerous
For this step we will be magnetizing all of the arm options for your Terminator Squad as well as the Power and Chain Fist options.
Sgt- Parts 21 / 22 / 23.
Your Terminator Sgt's main (non weapon hand) will be listed under step 4C as part 21. This will be a pointing hand. Using the RED end of your Magnicator Tool, glue a 3 x 0.5mm magnet into the slight dimple that is premoulded into the shoulder socket.
- You will repeat this process with the Sgt's other flush fit arms.

- For the Power / Chain Fist plates to be swappable, you will need to line up each plate with their respective arm.
EACH ARM HAS A MATCHING PAIR OF PLATES
- Using the Red end of your Magnicator Tool, center a 3 x 1mm magnet through the back of each plate, gluing it into the middle of each plate for each arm.

- Once the plates have all been magnetized you will need to use the RED end of your Magnicator Tool, mark the end of the 3 x 2mm magnet being glued in place with a marker, and then proceed to glue it, using the back end of a drill bit to guide the magnet into position within the Power Fist Housing.

For all remaining (non Sgt Arms) both the left and right shoulders will be moulded to be hollow, this will allow you to glue a 3 x 2.5 magnet into each. - Using the BLUE end of your Magnicator Tool for all RIGHT arms

and the RED end of the Magnicator Tool for all LEFT arms in the squad.

STEP 7: Cyclone Missile Launcher.
Each squad of Terminators includes 1 Cyclone Missile Launcher that can be affixed to the top of the Terminator's Armor. In the Instruction Manual this is Step 5E - 5H.
Once you select which Terminator you want to bestow the glorious Hellfire upon, you will need to, using the RED end of your Magnicator Tool, position the 5 x 5 x 2mm block magnet into the interior of the Terminator Armor Hull.
Use the method of moving the magnet, like you did earlier with the Power Fist Plates.

- Now you will need to cut away the back of the Terminator Armor's cowl to fit the magnet and allow the front of the Terminator to be secured.
Dry fit a few times to gauge depth and width of cutting away at the back of the cowl.
YOU WILL ONLY DO THIS FOR ONE TERMINATOR IN THE SQUAD.

- Next you will need to build the Cyclone Missile Launcher but do not attach it to the Terminator. First you will need to drill 2mm into the underside of the launcher, near the moulded divot in the plastic.

- Using the BLUE end of your Magnicator Tool, glue a 3 x 2mm magnet into the Cyclone Missile Launcher.

This will allow you to remove the Launcher when not being used in game.

-
Using the process from Step 6, be sure to magnetize the range finder lens (Part 85) so that your selected Terminator can look as it does in the instruction manual.

You have now fully built and magnetized your squad of Terminators. Whether it be laying waste to a grand battle field or moving through the cramped corridors of a derelict Space Hulk, your squad of heavily armored Terminators will bring forth the divine blessing of the Emperor's wrath.
