Skorpius Disintegrator & Dunerider Magnetization Guide
The Adeptus Mechanicus does not build options—it creates solutions. Cold, logical, and ruthlessly efficient solutions to particular battlefield problems. Few kits embody that philosophy better than the Skorpius Disintegrator / Dunerider chassis.
Whether you’re building your first Skitarii cohort or refining your data-psalm conclave, this is how you make your Skorpius adaptable, elegant, and lethal.
More importantly, magnetizing the Skorpius is an exercise in good hobby discipline. It rewards patience, planning, and a willingness to think a few steps ahead—qualities the Omnissiah surely approves of. You’ll find the process far less intimidating on future kits, and the payoff on the table is immediate.
Take your time. Dry fit everything. Test polarity twice. And remember: there’s no glory in rushing a build you’ll wish you could undo later.
Magnet List:
2pcs 6mm x 2mm
6pcs 3mm x 2mm
8pcs 2mm x 2mm
10pcs 2mm x 0.5mm
Drills Used:
2mm
3mm
Before we get started, glue pieces 28 & 29 of the Disintegrator together, and pieces 25, 26, and 27 together for the Dunerider.
Magnets Needed: Servitor
1pcs 3mm x 2mm
2pcs 2mm x 2mm
4pcs 2mm x 0.5mm
Let’s begin with the Servitor that controls the Ferrumite Cannon & Belleros Energy Cannon for the Disintegrator and the Cognis Heavy Stubber Array for the Dunerider.
Begin by cutting off the pegs on either side of the Servitor. Then, with a 2mm drill bit, drill where the pegs were and insert a 2mm x 2mm magnet into the holes.

Below the servitor, there is a cavity. Glue a 3mm x 2mm magnet into the cavity. Make sure the magnet is flush with the bottom edge.

For the protective plate that shields your servitor from gunfire, drill a 2mm hole just deep enough at the connection point that meets the Servitor. In the holes you drilled, insert a 2mm x 0.5mm magnet into them with the red end of your magnicator. Now you can remove the plate and weapons to swap to your Disintegrator variant

For the last two magnets, dab paint onto the 2mm x 0.5mm magnets glued to theDunerider’s Cognis Heavy Stubber Array’s armor panel. Dry fit the servitor and the paint marks where to glue the next magnets. On the spots marked with paint, glue a 2mm x 0.5mm magnet with the blue end of your magnicator.

Magnets Needed: Ferrumite Cannon & Belleros Energy Cannon
1pcs 6mm x 2mm
3pcs 3mm x 2mm
With the Ferrumite Cannon & Belleros Energy Cannon, cut off the peg that connects them to the weapon mount and drill a 3mm hole into the back of the Ferrumite Cannon & Belleros Energy Cannon.

Drill another 3mm hole into the weapon mount where the Ferrumite Cannon & Belleros Energy Cannon will connect. Insert a 3mm x 2mm magnet into each of the holes you drilled.

As a recommendation, I use the red end of my magnicator for the weapons.
For the chassis that the servitor is placed in, begin by cutting away at the back of the front plate where the servitor would normally connect. These bumps get in the way of our servitor for a flush fit.

On the right panel that holds a Cognis Stubber, insert a 6mm x 2mm magnet into the hole. The panel can now be removed and attached to the Servitor for easy access and swapped to the Dunerider variant.

Magnets Needed: Cognis Heavy Stubber Array
2pcs 2mm x 2mm
For the Cognis Stubbers, there is already a 2mm x 2mm hole on the sides of each stubber. With the red end of your magnicator, insert a 2mm x 2mm magnet into each one.

Magnets Needed: Disentegrator Barricade
4pcs 2mm x 2mm
4pcs 2mm x 0.5mm
With this next step, grab a 2mm drill bit and the barricade. Drill out the four corners with your 2mm drill bit and insert 2mm x 0.5mm magnets. The top corners will be magnetized with the Red end of your Magnicator, and the bottom corners will be magnetized with the Blue end.
Then, with pieces 96 and 97, we’ll drill them with the same 2mm drill bit. For the first magnet, drill behind the top bend, drilling towards the same angle as the corner.

Then, drill the front of where a 2mm x 0.5mm magnet meets the piece. I recommend dabbing paint onto the magnet and dry-fitting the parts to better find where to drill.

Each of these holes on pieces 96 and 97 will have a 2mm x 2mm magnet glued in. Both magnets on pieces 96 and 97 will use the Red end of your Magnicator.
Magnets Needed: Ladder and Servitor Cupola
1pcs 6mm x 2mm
2pcs 3mm x 2mm
2pcs 2mm x 0.5mm
Finally, the ladder that is used in the Dunerider variant and the magnet to magnetize the Servitor.
Start with the 2pcs 2mm x 0.5mm. Drill a 2mm hole on both sides where the ladder is flush to piece 5. I recommend drilling towards the center of each post. After it is drilled, glue a 2mm x 0.5mm magnet into the holes.

On the underside of piece 5, flip it around and use your ladder as a guide. Place your 2pcs 3mm x 2mm magnets near your ladder, and your magnets will slide into place. I recommend doing one at a time and gluing it down before you move on to the next one.
Lastly, glue a 6mm x 2mm magnet to the right cupola (that’s where the servitor is normally glued) on the underside of piece 5.

When fully magnetized, the Skorpius chassis stops being a single datasheet choice and becomes what the Adeptus Mechanicus always intended it to be: a flexible war engine. Your Skorpius is now adaptable, future-proof, and ready to serve whichever detachment you choose.
