Doom Scythe & Night Scythe Magnetization Guide
Fresh from the Tomb World Bakery is the Death Croissant...erm, the Doom and Night Scythe. These formidable flying machines hearken back to the flying saucers of the 1950s. Using our easy guide and Magnetization Kit, we will help you field as many intergalactic flying pastries as possible!
The length of these instructions may seem intimidating, but they were designed to make sure you see everything from every angle and do not make a mistake. Please follow the normal assembly instructions that come with the plastic kit; the steps below cover only the magnetization.
To keep track of magnet polarity we use a set of Magnicator tools. We refer to a magnet's polarity as red or blue, after the Magnicator end that is attracted to that magnet's surface. If you do not have those tools, use another method to track polarity: for example, mark one face of a large spare magnet and reference it every time.

Magnets used in this guide
| Magnet size | # used | Where used |
|---|---|---|
| 3mm x 1mm disc | 2 | Weapon power supply cables (both weapon options) |
| 5mm x 1mm disc | 2 | Weapon ball joints (both weapon options) |

Counts reflect the magnets installed in this guide. Your kit may include spares.
Step 1: Business as Usual
| Magnets Used | # | Where |
|---|---|---|
| 3mm x 1mm disc | 2 | Weapon power supply cables |
| 5mm x 1mm disc | 2 | Weapon ball joints |
This part of the guide is probably the easiest. Simply build the model using the instructions provided, but you will need to stop once you get to Manual Instructions Step 3.
1A: You can choose to fully build either weapon option, or leave them sub-assembled for drilling and magnetizing. For the purposes of this guide, I have fully built each weapon and will show the process of how I did things.

1B: For the main weapon options you will need to first use your Large Pin Vise and 3mm Drill Bit to drill approximately 1mm into the flat connecting side of the power supply cables that connect the main hull to either weapon (both sets).

1C: Using the BLUE end of your Magnicator Tool, glue a single 3 x 1mm disc magnet into each of the now-drilled power supply cables as shown below. You will also repeat this step for both weapon options.

1D: Next, you will need to clip and remove the pre-molded peg that would be inserted into the main hull.

1E: Once the pegs are removed from either weapon, you will need to carefully drill into the center of the round ball-joint using your pin vise and 5mm drill bit. Drill only about 1mm deep.
1F: You will need to use your Magnicator Tool to orient polarity for both weapons. Using the BLUE end of the Magnicator Tool and either a broad-head needle file or coarse sandpaper, lightly score the face of the 5 x 1mm magnet that will be inserted into the ball joint for each weapon.
1G: Glue the 5 x 1mm magnet into place in either weapon ball joint using the BLUE end of your Magnicator Tool.

Step 2: Finish up the Hull
| Magnets Used | # | Where |
|---|---|---|
| 6mm x 1mm disc | 1 | Central hull weapon hard point |
| 4mm x 1mm disc | 2 | Hull cable connections |
2A: Using your Large Pin Vise and 4mm Drill Bit, drill into the 2 cable connections located on the underside of the hull, near the flight stand mount. After you have drilled these cable connections, you will need to use your vise and 6mm Drill Bit to drill into the main weapon hard point at the center of the hull.

2B: Using the RED end of your Magnicator Tool to locate polarity on a 6 x 1mm magnet, lightly score the face of the magnet with a file or sandpaper. You will need to use the back end of the 6mm drill bit to glue and insert the magnet into the hull hard point, as the Magnicator Tool will be too wide to properly sink the magnet into place.

2C: Using the RED end of your Magnicator Tool and either a file or sandpaper, score the face of a 4 x 1mm disc magnet. Using the back end of your 4mm drill bit, glue and insert the 4 x 1mm magnet into each cable connection point on the hull.

Conclusion
You have now completely magnetized your Necron Doom Scythe & Night Scythe!
