Helbrute Magnetization Guide
The Helbrute is one of those Warhammer kits that practically begs to be magnetized. With multiple weapon options, wildly different battlefield roles, and a model that sits right at the center of your Chaos force, locking yourself into a single loadout just doesn’t make sense. Whether you’re swapping between ranged fire support and brutal melee, or just want the freedom to experiment without buying multiple kits, magnetizing your Helbrute is the smartest way to build it.

Magnet List:
10pcs 6mm x 2mm
6pcs 4mm x 2mm
7pcs 3mm x 1mm
Drills Used:
3mm
4mm
Special Tools:
Green Stuff
Magnets Needed: Shoulders and Arms
7pcs 6mm x 2mm
In the guide, we are using pieces 4 & 5 for the shoulders. You can use whatever shoulders you prefer.
For all the shoulders, glue a 6mm x 2mm magnet onto pieces 4 & 5. These two magnets will be glued on the back of each piece so they are inside the model.

On pieces 29 (Right Shoulder), 76 (Right Power Fist), 54 (Left Power Fist), and 73 (Missile Launcher), I glued a corresponding 6mm x 2mm magnet to the inside of each before gluing them shut. Follow those steps for Piece 64 (the left shoulder mount). The 6mm x 2mm magnet in Piece 64will magnetize the left weapon options. For now, we will focus on the right arm weapons.
Magnets Needed: Right Arm Weapon Options
3pcs 4mmx2mm
7pcs 3mmx1mm
To begin, I drilled a 3mm x 1mm magnet into Piece 28 and a 3mm x 1mm magnet into the glued Pieces of 42 & 43, the intermediary piece that connects the Lascannon and the Heavy Bolter to Piece 28.
For all of the weapon options, use the red end of your Magnicator.

On the arm that connects to the ranged weapons, I drilled and glued a 3mm x 1mm magnet into the hole.
-
Multi Melta: After assembling, on the inside of the Multi Melta, where it would normally be glued to piece 28, I drilled a matching hole to align the magnet on piece 28 with the magnet on the Multi Melta.

-
Twin Linked Lascannon: After assembling, I glued a 3mm x 1mm magnet on the inside, where it would normally be glued to piece 42/43, to best align with the magnet on piece 42/43.

-
Twin Linked Heavy Bolter: After assembling, on the backside where it would normally be glued to piece 42/43, drill a 3mm hole in the bottom gun barrel, and glue a 3mm x 1mm magnet into it, ensuring it will align properly with the magnet on piece 42/43.

- Reaper Autocannon: After assembling, on the inside of the Reaper Autocannon, where it would normally be glued to Piece 28, I drilled a matching hole with a 3mm drill bit. In that hole, glue a 3mm x 1mm magnet to align with the magnet on Piece 28.

-
Plasma Cannon: After assembling, I drilled a matching hole into the Plasma Cannon, where it would normally be glued to Piece 28, using a 3mm drill bit in the spot that would best align with Piece 28. In that hole, glue a 3mm x 1mm magnet.

-
Power Fist: After assembly, the panel parts 61 and 62/63 will have a 4mm x 2mm magnet glued onto the inside of the panels. Inside the power fist, use Green Stuff to build up material around a 4mm x 2mm magnet and increase its height. This will ensure that the panels and the fists will meet perfectly every time and be at it's strongest.

Magnets Needed: Left Arm Weapon Options
3pcs 6mm x 2mm
7pcs 4 mm x 2mm
-
Power Fist: After gluing together Pieces 53 & 54, the panel parts 61 and 62/63 will have a 4mm x 2mm magnet glued onto the inside of the panels. Inside the power fist, I glued another 4mm x 2mm magnet to match. To better secure them and keep the magnets in place, I used green stuff to hold the magnets.
As for the shoulder pad, we will not use piece 56. Instead, we will use 94 & 95 glued together, which makes another shoulder pad. Glue it to the power fist and it's completed!
- Power Scourge: Glue pieces 66 and 65 together. Use Green Stuff to build up the inside of the Power Scourge. This allows you to bring the 6mm x 2mm magnet closer to piece 64 until they are flush, making it the strongest it can be. Next, glue a 6mm x 2mm magnet into the Green Stuff. This magnet will be magnetized to piece 64 and can be taken on and off to be swapped. If you need to adjust the magnet, allow it to harden slightly and adjust. Without using piece 56 (the shoulder pad), build the Power Scourge as normal.
- Thunder Hammer: We’ll do the same thing we did on the Power Scourge! On piece 91, glue a 6mm x 2mm magnet to be magnetized to piece 64, using Green Stuff to build up height for the magnets to meet. The thunder hammer can then be built normally without piece 56.

-
Shoulder Pad (Piece 56): The shoulder pad can be glued to the shoulder. Make sure to align a weapon first, and then glue the shoulder piece to piece 64 only. You should be able to remove and reattach all the weapon options. This circumvents the need to magnetize the shoulder piece and every arm with small magnets.
-
Missile Launcher: Only a 6mm x 2mm magnet needs to be glued to be magnetized to the shoulder mount.
