Heavy Intercessor Heavy Gunner
Heavy Intercessors bring a new level of punch to the Primaris ranks. Clad in Gravis-level armor and trained to hold ground with overwhelming fire support, they form an immovable wall in defensive lines and provide brutal covering fire when the battle heats up.
Unlike their standard counterparts, these marines don’t just bring bolt rifles — they range into heavier weapons like the Heavy Bolt Rifle, Hellstorm, and Executor variants, and even heavy bolters on selected models. While current editions usually give Heavy Intercessors a single profile, the variety inherent in their kit means future rules changes (e.g., 11th Edition) could give players even more incentive to swap guns and represent different battlefield roles.
To track the polarity of the magnets, we use a set of Magnicator tools. We may refer to the polarity of the magnets as “red” or “blue,” after which Magnicator is attracted to that magnet’s surface.

Magnets Needed: Heavy Gunner Body
1pcs 3mm x 11.5mm
To drill the Heavy Gunner's body. I highly recommend not having it glued before you drill the body.
Without gluing the body together, use your 3mm drill bit and drill on both sides where the arms would normally be glued.

Then, using a sharp knife or a pair of snippers, clear out the plastic bump where the two halves meet. Dry-fit the parts together, then drill out any remaining material.

I strongly recommend alternating between drilling from the left and right shoulder sockets. This keeps your hole centered and prevents the drill from wandering off-axis. Once your drill bit can pass cleanly from one shoulder socket through to the other, you’ve created a straight channel through the torso. When everything lines up properly, you’ll have a perfectly centered magnet mount that allows either arm to swap securely without compromising the model’s pose or structure.
After you have drilled out the 3mm hole, insert the 3mm x 11.5mm magnet. Use your Magnicator and with the red end, insert it on the Heavy Gunner's left side.

Magnets Needed: Heavy Gunner's Arms
4pcs 3mm x 0.5mm
Let's grab our Magnicator and get to work! Before we glue all the weapons together, we will magnetize the arms with 3mm x 0.5mm magnets. Each arm will have a 3mm x 0.5mm magnet glued where the arm normally meets the body.

The left arm that supports the gun, use the Blue end of your magnicator.
The right arm that holds the Heavy Bolt Rifle and Heavy Bolter, use the Red end of your magnicator.
Magnets Needed: Heavy Shoulder Pads
4pcs 3mm x 2mm
2pcs 3mm x 0.5mm
The shoulder pads are the last thing to magnetize. In the shoulders, there are holes big enough for a 3mm x 2mm magnet. Insert and glue a 3mm x 2mm magnet into each arm using the Red end of your Magnicator.

The two shoulder pads will use the remaining 3mm x 0.5mm each. Use the Blue end of your Magnicator.

Now your Heavy Intercessor is magnetized for any future edition updates and changes!
