Castigator Battle Tank Magnetization Kit Guide
Whether you are purging heretics or eradicating filthy xenos monstrosities, the Castigator Battle Tank will help you bring forth the divine judgement of the Emperor and our easy to use NO DRILL magnetization kit will allow you to easily swap between both turret options as well as a magnetized Hunter Killer Missile and swappable cupola.
For this guide you will need:
- Castigator Battle Tank Magnetization Kit
- Hobby Knife
- Super Glue
- Hobby Snips / Clippers
- Magnicator Tool
- Needle File (Broad / Flat)
Optional: - Insta-set Accelerant
Step 1: Main Chassis and Hunter Killer
Once you have begun building your Castigator Battle Tank, you will simply follow the instruction manual until you get to Manual Step 1F. Do NOT Glue the upper hull onto the chassis yet.
You will need to use the RED end of your Magnicator Tool to orient polarity of the 6 x 6 x 2mm block magnet. Once you have done this, you will need to score the face of the block magnet using your needle file so that it can be glued in place successfully.
The Instruction Manual Step 6B instructs you to glue the Hunter Killer Missile to the left rear armor panel. You can place it anywhere you wish, but our magnetization kit and this guide are designed for the recommended placement

After you have secured the block magnet into place, you can complete building the main hull as listed in the Instruction Manual as well as the side sponsons.
1B) For the Hunter Killer Missile, you will use the RED end of your Magnicator Tool to orient polarity on the 6 x 2mm disc magnet. Score the face of the magnet and glue it into place on the designated mount point.

Step 2: Glorious Cannons
For this step in the build process, you will need to follow the Instruction Manual for Manual Steps 3-4 (do NOT begin Manual Step 5).
Repeat this process for Part B11 (Battle Cannon) and Part B16 (Autocannons)
2A - You will need to Clip off the guide pegs from both sides and make the area where they were, as smooth as possible using your hobby knife and needle file.

Once this is done you will use the BLUE end of your Magnicator Tool and needle file to score the face of 6 x 2mm disc magnet. You will then glue the magnet into the left side of the recessed cannon hull. (I used the end of the needle file due to space constraints)

You will then repeat the process using the RED end of your Magnicator Tool and right side of the recessed cannon hulls.
Step 3: Turret Magnetization
3A: Within the turret cannon mounts are 2 block pieces with holes through the middle of them (Parts B 5 / B6), Using the RED end of your Magnicator Tool, insert and glue a 3 x 4mm magnet into Part B5

and the BLUE end of your Magnicator Tool to insert and glue a 3 x 4mm magnet into part B6 as shown below.

Once these magnets are in place, you can secure them into their turret mount locations as per the instruction manual.
3B: Next you will need to use the BLUE end of your Magnicator Tool to orient polarity on the 16 x 2mm Disc magnet. Score the face of the magnet as well as the internal underside of the turret cupola.
Using the tip of your hobby knife, lightly score the flat side of the cupola internal. Then glue the 16 x 2mm disc magnet in place; it should rest against the rounded wall of the hull as shown below.
Once the internal magnet is in place you can now close the turret, completing the main weapon build. Your Cannons can now swap in and out without issue.

3C: After sealing the turret, you will need to build the cupola hatch doors (Parts B41 and B42) closed but do NOT glue them TO the cupola. Keep them loose as a 'single' part.
Using the BLUE end of your Magnicator Tool and needle file, score the face of an 8 x 2mm disc magnet. Glue it in place on the underside of the hatch doors, as close to the center as possible.
Next you will need to build the Sister Gunner as shown in Instruction Manual Step 6A. Do NOT glue her and her Storm Bolter to the cupola, keep them as a 'single' piece as well.
Once she and her Bolter are built, you will need to clip off the lower half of Part B45 as shown below.
Using the BLUE end of your Magnicator Tool and needle file, score the face of the 10 x 1mm disc magnet and use your hobby knife to score the flat connecting point of the Sister's lower half. Within the cupola itself, you can let the 10 x 1mm disc magnet sit with the now scored side face up. This will let the cupola act as a guide for centering the 10 x 1 magnet on the bottom of the Sister's base.
Apply a small amount of super glue to the magnet face (a small bit of Insta-set Accelerant to the base of the Sister if you choose to) and press the Sister into the cupola.
Once the glue has cured, remove the Sister and clean up any glue that may have smeared.
You can now swap between the closed cupola hatch or the exposed Sister with Storm Bolter.
With the Castigator Battle Tank now complete, you are free to unleash holy vengeance onto the foes of the Emperor; stock up and be prepared, for they are many.
