Aquilon Terminator Sodality Magnetization Kit Instructions

This guide will take you through step by step in magnetizing your plastic Aquilon Terminator Sodality Miniatures using:

12pcs 4 x 2mm Magnets
36pcs 2.5 x 1mm Magnets
6pcs 4 x 1mm disc Magnets

For this guide you will need:

• Aquilon Terminator Sodality Box from GW
  
• Hobby Snips and knife
• Superglue 
  
• Magnicator Tool
• Pin Vise for drilling
• 2.5mm Drill Bit
• 4mm Drill Bit
  
  Optional:
• Insta-Set Accelerant
  
  Step One: Magnetizing the Upper Torso
  You will first need to build the complete body of each Terminator, do NOT assemble any of the arms until after the bodies are magnetized.
  
  
• You will use your Pin vise and 4mm bit to drill into the center of the RIGHT SHOULDER ONLY.
  
  
  
  
• Once the right shoulders are drilled, use the BLUE end of your Magnicator Tool to insert and glue a 4 x 2mm magnet into the drilled hole, making sure the Magnicator Tool sits flush against the upper torso. 
  
  
  
  Step Two: Magnetizing the Arms and Pauldrons
• For this next step in the process, you will need to use your 4mm bit to gently drill the empty space of each RIGHT ARM ONLY (Standard and Infernus Firepike), this will remove a bit of material and allow the magnets to fit. 
  
  
  
  
• Next you will use the RED end of your Magnicator Tool to glue and insert a 4 x 2mm magnet into the empty space of the shoulder, making sure the Magnicator Tool sits flush. 
  
  
  
  
• Next, gently drill into the center of the INTERIOR of each RIGHT (eagle) pauldron, only drilling about 1mm deep, do NOT drill all the way through, go slowly and dry fit a 4 x 1mm disc magnet into the spot as you go.
  
  
  Once the magnet sits flush, use the RED end of your Magnicator tool to orient the polarity of a 4 x 1mm disc magnet then glue it into place using the flat end of a drill bit as the Magnicator tool will not fit into the space. 
  
  
  
  Step Three: Magnetizing the Right Hands / Wrists:
• You will need to fully assemble each weapon for the right hand, both Adrathic Combi‑destructors and Lastrum Storm Bolters. Once you have done this, you will use your 2.5mm bit to drill into the back of each hand, making sure to keep the bit centered on the thicker plastic portion of the hand. 
  
  
  
• Next, you will again use your 2.5mm bit to drill into the wrist mount this time, only going about 1mm deep, using the dry fit method to test depth. 
  
  
  
• Using the BLUE end of your Magnicator Tool, insert and glue a 2.5 x 1mm disc magnet into the drilled wrists, making sure the Tool sits flush. 
  
  
  
  
• Using the RED end of your Magnicator Tool, insert and glue a 2.5 x 1mm disc magnet into the back of each drilled out gun hand, making sure the Tool sits flush. 
  
  
  
  Step Four: Magnetizing the Left Gauntlet:
• You will be gluing the left shoulder and pauldron in place. You will need to use your 2.5mm bit to drill each LEFT wrist just above the premoulded line where the hands will connect.
  
  
  
• Next, use the same 2.5mm bit to drill into the back of each hand, just above the premoulded, raised line. Drill at a 45 degree angle, only drilling 1mm deep. Again dry fit the magnets to make sure they are flush and that the hand can connect perfectly. 
  
  
  
  
• Using the BLUE end of your Magnicator Tool, glue and insert a 2.5 x 1mm disc magnet into the back of each drilled hand (Power Talons and Gauntlets), making sure the tool sits flush.
  
  
  
• Finally, use the RED end of your Magnicator Tool to glue and insert a 2.5 x 1mm disc magnet into the drilled left wrist of each Terminator.
