House Goliath gangers are the industrial brutes of the underhive. Slab-muscled, barrel-chested, kitted out with oversized industrial weapons that look like they were torn off the wall of a factory. The gang sprue reflects that aesthetic — every fighter has multiple weapon options, and the weapons themselves are thick, heavy, and awkwardly balanced. This is a gang that benefits hard from magnetization.
This guide covers the full Goliath range — Forge Boss, Stimmers, Bullies, Gangers, and Juves — with the specific magnet sizes and drilling points for each fighter type.
Magnet Sizes for Goliath
| Application | Magnet Size | SAE |
|---|---|---|
| Standard fighter shoulder joints | 2mm x 1mm | 1/16" x 1/32" |
| Heavy weapon shoulders (krumper rivet cannon, etc.) | 2mm x 2mm | 1/16" x 1/16" |
| Forge Boss / Stimmer oversized weapons | 3mm x 1mm or 3mm x 2mm | 1/8" x 1/32" or 1/8" x 1/16" |
| Decorative base hole | 3mm x 2mm | 1/8" x 1/16" |
Goliath Weapon Options by Fighter Type
Forge Boss (Leader)
The Forge Boss is the gang leader. The sprue offers multiple weapon loadouts:
- Two-handed renderizer (power hammer)
- Combat shotgun
- Combi-weapon (combi-stubber, combi-melta, combi-plasma)
- Boltgun variants
- Power fist or power hammer (one-handed)
The Forge Boss torso is thick enough to drill 2mm deep. Use 2mm x 1mm at standard shoulder joints. For the two-handed renderizer, which cantilevers significantly off one shoulder, step up to 2mm x 2mm on that arm.

Stimmer (Champion)
Stimmers are jacked-up muscle freaks with exotic close-combat loadouts:
- Chainaxe, two-handed
- Renderizer
- Power hammer
- Two-handed power hammer variant
- Heavy stubber
- Combi-weapon options
Stimmer arms are often asymmetric — one natural arm holding a pistol, one oversized augmented arm swinging a chainaxe. The augmented arm needs 2mm x 2mm at the shoulder because the two-handed chainaxe and power hammer are heavy enough to sag on a 2x1mm.

Bully (Specialist)
Bullies bring heavy specialist weapons to the gang:
- Krumper rivet cannon
- Heavy stubber
- Combat shotgun with shield
- Two-handed axe variants
- Grenade launcher
The krumper rivet cannon is the heaviest weapon on the sprue — two-handed, shoulder-pressed, and heavy. Use 2mm x 2mm at the krumper shoulder. Standard Bully arms get 2x1mm.
Ganger (Basic Fighter)
Standard Gangers have the most varied weapon options on the sprue:
- Stub gun (pistol)
- Autopistol / laspistol
- Fighting knife
- Combat shotgun
- Autogun / shotgun (two-handed)
- Boltgun
- Axe / maul / chain weapon melee options
- Combi-weapon (rarer)
Gangers are the main magnetization target — you'll have 3-6 of them in a typical gang list and they're the ones that acquire new weapons most often during campaign play. Standard 2mm x 1mm at both shoulders handles every option.
Juve (Entry-Level Fighter)
Juves are cheap fighters with limited loadouts:
- Stub gun / autopistol
- Knife / club
- Shotgun (rarer on Juves)
Juves can skip magnetization entirely if you're on a budget — their loadouts are simple and don't change much during a campaign. If you do magnetize, 2mm x 1mm at both shoulders.
Installation Procedure
- Clip each arm off the torso at the shoulder socket. Keep parts organized by fighter.
- Drill a 2mm hole into each torso shoulder socket. Depth: 1mm for 2x1mm magnets, 1.5mm for 2x2mm.
- Drill matching holes in each arm shoulder.
- Set a polarity reference magnet — mark the "inward face" with a Sharpie dot.
- Glue magnets into torsos first. Always with the same face inward (into the torso).
- Once torso magnets cure, magnetize arms with opposite polarity facing inward (into the arm, away from the hand).
- Test-fit each arm to its torso before committing the glue to make sure polarity attracts, not repels.
Goliath-Specific Tips
- Thick torso plastic — Goliath torsos are beefier than other gangs. You can drill deeper (up to 2mm) without breaking through. Take advantage on heavy weapon shoulders by using 2mm x 2mm magnets for maximum hold.
- Asymmetric poses — Many Goliath arms are sculpted with extreme muscle definition that makes the shoulder joint face angled, not flat. Drill perpendicular to the joint face, not perpendicular to the torso centerline.
- Two-handed weapon support — For weapons like the renderizer and two-handed axes, the second hand grips the weapon shaft. That grip doesn't need magnetizing — the shoulder magnet supports the weapon, and the second hand just rests on the haft for pose.
Decorative Base Magnetization
Goliath fighters ship with Necromunda decorative bases (industrial floor plate textures). These have a pre-molded 2.9mm hole on the underside. A 3mm x 2mm disc fits this hole snugly — glue with thin CA.

For Goliath Bullies on 32mm bases (older kits use 25mm, newer specialist Bullies use 32mm), the same 3x2mm works in the decorative base hole.
For standard Citadel bases without the decorative hole, use flush-fit basing magnets instead:

Campaign Use Case
A Goliath gang at campaign start typically runs 6-8 fighters. By game 10, every ganger has acquired 2-4 new weapons through the rewards system. Without magnetization, you'd need to build duplicate models or live with permanent loadout lock-in. With shoulder-joint magnetization:
- Build each fighter with both shoulders magnetized.
- Assemble every weapon arm option from the sprue (extras included in most Goliath kits).
- Store loose arms in a compartmented box or magnet-lined case.
- Before each campaign game, swap arms to match the current loadout on the gang roster.
This is the workflow that justifies the upfront magnetization effort. A three-hour magnetization session on a new Goliath gang pays off every session of the 10-game campaign.

Key kits where this magnetization strategy applies:
- Goliath Gang Box (10 fighters, primary magnetization target)
- Necromunda: Hive War starter (includes Goliath fighters)
- Goliath Stimmers & Forge Tyrant
- Goliath Weapons Upgrade Sprue
- Goliath Juves
Summary
Goliath magnetization uses 2mm x 1mm at standard shoulder joints, 2mm x 2mm for heavy weapons (krumper rivet cannon, two-handed chainaxes and hammers), and 3mm x 2mm for the decorative base hole on the underside. The Goliath Weapons Upgrade Sprue gives you extra arm options per fighter — magnetize the gang once and every upgrade drops in without rebuilding models.
